Salman Khan, the Bollywood actor, and Ashneer Grover, the fintech entrepreneur, became tense on the most recent episode of Bigg Boss 18: Weekend Ka Vaar. Khan accused Grover of having “double standards” or being “doglapan,” a term that Grover used on Shark Tank India in 2021, which sparked the heated exchange. Salman Khan criticized the co-founder of BharatPe for misrepresenting his prior deal numbers. “I’ve overheard you discussing me and bringing up sums like ‘we signed him for this much,’ but all of your calculations were incorrect. He questioned Grover, “So what about the double standards?”

Grover responded by posting a thorough explanation on LinkedIn, claiming that his claims were accurate. Salman is an excellent actor and host, he said, adding that their previous exchanges were always civil. He added, “I met Salman for a brand collaboration in 2019, and although he might not remember me, I wasn’t a public figure at the time,” to further explain that the numbers he had cited were bank-verified. In an April 2022 speech at Lovely Professional University, Grover recounted that Salman Khan had asked for ₹7.5 crore for a partnership, which sparked the argument. When questioned about lowering the fee, Grover said the actor’s management had given a contemptuous response. But Salman Khan insisted that the figures were erroneous and rejected Grover’s account of what happened.
