Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on Monday, April 1, in connection with a money laundering case involving the now-canceled Delhi excise policy. Additional solicitor general (ASG) SV Raju, representing the Enforcement Directorate, told the Delhi court that Kejriwal was not assisting with the probe. Arvind Kejriwal tried to control the questions in addition to behaving wholly disagreeably. He mentioned that Vijay Nair reports to Atishi rather than to me. Monday saw Arvind Kejriwal appear in court after spending a week in detention at the Enforcement Directorate. The AAP leader added, “Whatever the prime minister is doing (referring to his arrest) is not good for the country,” addressing the media before going into court. Arvind Kejriwal was taken into custody by the ED on March 21 in relation to the matter. The following day, Judge Baweja placed him under ED custody with a deadline of March 28.
