Arijit Singh Refuses to Perform Kolkata Protest Anthem ‘Aar Kobe’ at UK Concert: ‘Go to Kolkata’ | Watch Video
Arijit Singh recently vented about being asked to perform the song “Aar Kobe,” which is connected to the rallies against the Kolkata rape case, by a fan at one of his UK shows.
Arijit strongly advised the fan that the concert was not the right place to make political views. He made it clear that the purpose of his concerts is music and enjoyment, not political protest.
He advised anyone who wanted to help the cause to travel to Kolkata and participate in the protests there. After that, Arijit returned to performing with ease, starting with “Ramta Jogi” from the movie Taal.
