Union Home Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) pioneer Amit Shah, in an elite meeting with Network18 Group Editor-in-Chief Rahul Joshi, rubbished the claims of Delhi Chief Minister (CM) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal’s spouse, Sunita, that there was a scheme to murder him in imprison.
He said the Tihar imprisonment, where Kejriwal is held up, comes beneath the Delhi government, whose CM is Kejriwal. “Look, Tihar Imprison comes beneath the Delhi government, whose Chief Minister is Kejriwal ji. So is he planning to murder himself?” inquired Shah. When encouraged to address claims that the DG Jails reports to Delhi Police, Shah said, “Not at all. Jails report straight to the Delhi government.” When asked approximately about the center’s part in it, he said, “No address at all.”
