Amit Shah Accuses Mamata Banerjee of Misleading People on CAA in West Bengal
Amit Shah, the union’s home minister, criticized West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday for her handling of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), saying that she had misled the public.
“The CAA law has been passed. Mamata Didi is deceiving the Bengali people. She is implying that you will forfeit your citizenship if you seek CAA. At a gathering in Balurghat, West Bengal, Shah remarked, “I request refugees to apply for citizenship under CAA; I assure there won’t be any problem.”
The minister made a statement: “Mamata didi, we will grant citizenship to all the refugees, no matter how much you oppose CAA.”
“To build a ‘Sashakt Bharat,’ we will have to build a ‘Sashakt Bengal,’” Shah continued, criticizing the leader of the Trinamool Congress. But look at how far infiltration has spread in West Bengal! The state cannot advance or gain authority while such circumstances continue.”
But how likely do you think Mamata Banerjee is to make an effort to halt this infiltration? No! Because her real vote bank is made up of these infiltrators,” the minister continued.
According to Shah, the only people who can stop infiltration in West Bengal are Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government. “Make sure the BJP is brought to West Bengal and see the unmatched change,” he continued.

“In Assam, we put an end to infiltration. The minister said, “I’m here to inform you that Modi has pledged to assist us in gaining more than thirty seats and forming a BJP government in Bengal.” We will also stop infiltration.”
