Lok Sabha Election 2024: Amit Shah ‘Confident’ as BJP Secures Seats After Phase 2 Polling

The Bharatiya Janata Party and its partners in the NDA, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, are confident of reaching the “400 paar” target in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024, having won over 100 seats after the two stages of voting. Amit Shah added that the public’s blessings and support are helping the BJP achieve its objective of having more than 400 Lok Sabha seats. “We can state that the BJP and its allies have crossed over 100 seats after two phases of elections, and we are optimistic that we are going towards our goal of ‘400 seats,’ based on our internal assessment. According to preliminary trends, the BJP is receiving positive feedback in southern India. “Amit Shah was quoted in Guwahati by news agency ANI.

On Monday night, Amit Shah traveled to Guwahati and conducted a roadshow in support of Bijuli Kalita Medhi, the party’s candidate for Guwahati. In Assam, the BJP is running for eleven of the fourteen seats, while its allies, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), are running for two seats (Barpeta and Dhubri) and the UPPL for one seat (Kokrajhar).

‘Congress is spreading lies’: Amit ShahQ

Amit Shah said at a press conference that the Congress was disseminating false information about the BJP’s plans to amend the Constitution and remove reservations if it wins a third term in office. Lies about the saffron party amending the constitution and eliminating reservations are being propagated by the Congress. We do not regard voters as either a majority or a minority; in Assam, the BJP is going to win 12 of the 14 Lok Sabha seats, according to Amit Shah. The Union home minister claimed that the Congress is trying to preserve “the little of what is remaining of their support base” and attacked it for engaging in “politics of appeasement since the very beginning.”

Amit Shah on reservation

“The BJP opposes religious reservations. We support the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code throughout the nation and guarantee that individuals of all faiths are subject to the same laws,” Amit Shah was cited by the news agency as saying. Along with saying that legislation based on religion is wrong and goes against the spirit of the Constitution, the top BJP official also remarked that this is a secular nation.
