Amit Shah Set for Roadshow and Rallies in Karnataka Today

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, landed in Bengaluru and has a packed day planned, including rallies, road shows, and meetings with allies and party members. This is Amit Shah’s first trip to the state since the declaration of the Lok Sabha elections. B.Y. Vijayendra, the state president of the party, welcomed him when he arrived in Bengaluru at two in the morning on his private flight. Leaders of the BJP and JD (S) parties are expecting that Amit Shah’s visit will inspire their members.

Amit Shah is reportedly going to address the dissenting voices within the party in addition to giving a speech at a sizable public rally and participating in a roadshow. In addition, Amit Shah is planning strategies with the leaders of the six Lok Sabha seats where the BJP is up against the opposition. After attending a public gathering, he would have discussions with the leaders of the Lok Sabha seats representing Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Bidar, and Belagavi.

After allying with the JD(S), the BJP hopes to win all 28 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Senior leader K.S. Eshwarappa has continued to make statements critical of the party, claiming that he will run as an independent against BJP candidate B.Y. Raghavendra, son of former chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa, even though the former CM has managed to put an end to dissidence in the MP constituencies of Belagavi, Davangere, Bidar, and Tumakuru.

Former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and leaders of the JD (S) core committee are expected to meet with the home minister. Before Bengaluru Palace Grounds, he would later speak before a sizable public gathering. Party activists are attending the convention from three parliamentary constituencies in Bengaluru: Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru, and Chikkaballapur.

The Bengaluru Rural Constituency’s Channapatna town will have a roadshow with Amit Shah in the evening. Among those joining the Home Minister on the roadshow are former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, state president B.Y. Vijayendra, BJP candidate and former prime minister H.D. Deve Gowda’s son-in-law, Dr. C.N. Manjunath, and others.
