Modi Government Prevented Chinese Encroachment: Amit Shah Asserts in Assam
China cannot encroach on even an inch of territory under the Narendra Modi administration, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah statement on Tuesday. Shah said, “People of Assam will never forget how Jawaharlal Nehru said ‘bye-bye’ to Assam during the Chinese aggression,” while speaking at a rally in Lakhimpur, Assam. China was not allowed to invade even a single square inch of our territory while PM Modi’s government was in power. One will never forget 1962 in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
Shah added, The BJP-led government at the center secured the country’s border with Bangladesh and stopped infiltration.” In the months-long military stalemate with China in eastern Ladakh, Shah affirmed the position of the Centre, according to which India has “not lost out on any territory.” Shah stated in the Lok Sabha that “China tried to do what it did in 1962,” per the report. “Our leadership proved resolute, and not a single square inch of India’s territory was lost.”
The minister continued to criticize the Congress, adding, “Rahul Gandhi was saying a few days ago that we need to safeguard Assamese culture. I would like to remind him of the damage his grandma caused to Assam. Numerous young people were killed by mistaken beliefs. “Ten years of Modi ji have been a decade of transformation in Assam,” the minister stated, highlighting the accomplishments of the Narendra Modi government in the state. We have completed several development initiatives and peace accords in the last ten years. I’m confident that Assam will advance to a developed state in the next few years.”

“For years, the Congress party had left the Ram Mandir issue hanging,” Shah stated in reference to the Ram temple controversy. The ruling, the “bhoomi pooja,” and the “pran pratishtha,” which eventually occurred on January 22, all occurred under PM Modi’s administration.” Lakhimpur, Assam, will host the Lok Sabha voting on April 19. The second and third voting rounds in the northeastern state are scheduled for April 26 and May 7, respectively. June 4 will be the date of the vote count.
