Jammu and Kashmir Transformed from Terrorist Hotspot to Tourist Hub, Says Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, hailing the change that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed during Narendra Modi’s leadership, on Friday said that the valley has now transformed from a terror-prone State to a tourist destination. Peace and development have now taken the driver’s seat, which has scripted a new chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.
Shah, during his two-day visit to the poll-bound Union Territory, will kick-start the election campaign of BJP by releasing the manifesto of the party known as ‘Sankalp Patra’ and interacting with party workers at a ‘Karyakarta Sammelan’.
Taking to X, Shah tweeted, “Jammu and Kashmir is experiencing a new era of peace and development under Modi govt. From being the epicenter of terrorism, the region has now become a favourite tourist destination along with a rapid growth in educational and economic activities.

The visit has been seen as one of the most crucial steps taken in BJP’s bigger ambition to regain a foothold in the Union Territory, where Shah was expected to launch officially the party manifesto and enthuse the party workers in the run-up to the elections.
