After the murder, Amar Singh Chamkila’s killers danced and left a letter; the secretary remembers horrifying details.

Imtiaz Ali’s late-discharged motion picture, Amar Singh Chamkila, has once gotten everyone’s consideration towards the points of interest of the Punjabi artist and his spouse, Amarjot’s awful kill in 1988. In a later meeting, the late singer’s secretary, Manku, too, reviewed what happened on the awful day when Chamkila and Amarjot were shot dead. Manku was talking to Cine Punjabi when he uncovered that Chamkila was paid Rs 8,000 for his final appearance.

He reviewed that Chamkila and Amarjot needed to have supper sometime recently, and hence, he cleared them to eat, whereas he went close to the arrangement to check if all the courses of action were input. After checking everything, Manku called Chamkila and Amarjot over, saying, “Everything’s prepared; come on.”

“The shooters were among the swarm. They may have shot him on the way. They might have shot him after he’d ventured onto the stage. Who knows? Indeed,  I might have been shot if they’d let go at the organization. But they held up. Chamkila arrived in his car in amazing design; it was a scene straight out of a motion picture. I said, ‘Put your hands together; Chamkila is here’.’ No sooner than I’d said this, I listened to uproarious bangs,” he said in Punjabi.

However, indeed, some time ago, Manku may have figured out anything; he saw Chamkila drop close to the car. Figuring out what had happened, Manku bounced off the arrange.

At first, he thought, “You aren’t getting out of this alive.” But he was told at that point that Chamkila’s executioners performed bhangra after killing him. Not fair this; he too uncovered that the executioners had cleared out a letter on Chamkila’s chest, which got soaked in blood. “One individual following me portrayed what she saw; I was as well frightened to see out. She said, ‘There are three men; they’re doing the bhangra. They’ve kept a letter on Chamkila’s chest. I saw that letter afterwards, and I studied it. It was soaked in blood. They cleared out on bikes. I picked up the bodies myself,” he added.
