Ajit Pawar Identifies Supriya Sule’s Voice; She Denies Bitcoin Scam Allegations as ‘Baseless Lies’

Ajit Pawar Identifies Supriya Sule’s Voice; She Denies Bitcoin Scam Allegations as ‘Baseless Lies’

On Maharashtra’s election day, a significant issue broke out when retired IPS officer Ravindranath Patil charged that Baramati MP Supriya Sule and Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole had used money from a 2018 Bitcoin scam to support their campaigns. Despite both leaders’ adamant denials, the accusations have set off a political firestorm.

Supriya Sule Refutes Allegations, Takes Legal Action

Supriya Sule declared legal action against BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi and those responsible for disseminating the accusations, calling them “baseless.” “I have filed a criminal case and a defamation case,” Sule told News Agency. On any platform, I’m prepared to respond to his [Trivedi’s] five questions. These accusations are wholly untrue and made up.

Additionally, Sule complained to the Maharashtra Cyber Crime Department and the Election Commission of India that witnesses in the 2018 case, Gaurav Mehta and Ravindranath Patil, were spreading fake information. She reaffirmed her willingness to have a public discussion on the issue with any BJP official.

Ajit Pawar Adds to the Drama

The matter took a fresh turn when Supriya Sule’s cousin and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar claimed to have identified Sule’s voice in alleged audio recordings that were used as proof. “I can recognize the voices in the audio clips based on their tone. My sister is one of them, and I have a long history of working with the other. In an interview with the media, he stated, “An investigation will be carried out to find the truth.”

Sule replied, “He is Ajit Pawar; he can say anything,” dismissing Ajit Pawar’s comments. “Hari Ram Krishna.”

BJP Seizes the Opportunity

The BJP swiftly took advantage of the accusations, releasing audio recordings they said showed Sule and Patole conspiring to embezzle the money from the Bitcoin scam for political purposes. The discoveries “unmasked” the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), according to BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, who also called on the Congress and Sule to provide explanations.

Sule charged that in order to influence voters, the BJP was using “familiar tactics of spreading false information.” The fact that such unfounded accusations are made the evening before elections is disgusting. “My attorney will serve Sudhanshu Trivedi with criminal and civil defamation notices,” she said on X.

The Allegations and Their Impact

In order to sway Maharashtra’s assembly elections in 2018, Sule and Patole allegedly embezzled money from a Bitcoin fraud case, according to Ravindranath Patil. The political climate in Maharashtra is still hot as the accusations intensify, and both sides have vowed to find the truth.
