AAP Slams PM Modi’s ‘AAPada for Delhi’ Remark, Calls It Laughable
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) vehemently disputed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on Friday, referring to the party as a “AAPada” (disaster) for Delhi in advance of the next assembly elections. In light of the top prime minister’s analysis, Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “Such statements are unbecoming of a top prime minister.” For the beyond 10 years, we have been responsible for half of Delhi, with the Center handling the other half. Despite the challenges, we improved the sewage system, electrical, and water supply infrastructure.
Bharadwaj went on to challenge the role of the Center, asking, “What has Delhi benefited from the federal administration led by the BJP? Extortion threats are made against businesspeople, and crimes throughout the day have increased. Because of the Center’s carelessness, Delhi’s law and order situation has gotten worse.
Bharadwaj also criticized PM Modi’s comments on Delhi’s educational system. “Whenever the PM attacks Delhi’s schools, I can’t help but chuckle. Leaders from all over the world come to Delhi to research our educational approach. The prime minister is welcome to come and see these government schools and make his own assessment. He said, “It’s regrettable that he used a public platform to make such unfounded statements.”
PM Modi’s Jibe at AAP
Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP administration went under weighty fire from State head Narendra Modi, who alluded to it as an “aapda” (disaster) for the country’s capital while sending off various foundation projects in Delhi.
