Israel’s Defence Minister Calls Khamenei ‘Modern-Day Hitler’, Says He Must Be Eliminated Amid Iran Conflict

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has likened Iran’s highest leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to Adolf Hitler. Katz addressed reporters Thursday while visiting Holon, the scene of a recent Iranian missile strike, and criticised Khamenei’s ongoing hostility towards Israel.

“This terrible mission cannot be permitted to continue under a dictator like Khamenei, who is in charge of Iran and has openly stated that he wants to destroy the State of Israel,” Katz said. He underlined that if needed, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) are capable of finding and killing Khamenei. According to reports, the United States opposed an earlier Israeli proposal to kill Khamenei.

“The IDF would have been dispatched to remove and destroy him. Katz continued, “I see Khamenei as the modern Hitler,” highlighting the Iranian leader’s underlying resolve to destroy Israel by any means necessary, including at the expense of his people.

Katz further asserted that, among other civilian targets, Khamenei personally ordered missile strikes against homes and hospitals. Katz told the Times of Israel, “These repeated missile attacks are intentional, not by accident.” “He views this as a component of his plan to destroy the State of Israel.”

Israel’s goals in the continuing war with Iran, according to the defence minister, are to neutralise missile threats, destroy sources of destruction, and eradicate the nuclear danger. Katz stated resolutely, “The IDF has been directed to make sure that Khamenei no longer exists to achieve these goals.”

Iran-Israel Conflict Enters Seventh Day Amid Escalating Tensions

Since Israel began Operation Rising Lion on June 13, the war between Iran and Israel has officially entered its seventh day. This military operation severely escalated tensions by targeting Iranian nuclear sites and military bases.

After Iran conducted a series of missile attacks on Tel Aviv, including one on a hospital, Israel promised to further up its reaction on day seven. Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei responded to the Israeli attack on Tehran by vowing to “punish the Zionist regime.”
