Recently, Vidya Balan, one of Bollywood’s most famous actresses, voiced her admiration for the legendary Sridevi, calling her a “consummate actor” with unparalleled talent. Vidya expressed her longing to have seen Sridevi in action scenes in an interview with Filmygyan, but she also admitted that this is no longer an option. “Sridevi could do anything.” But now, that opportunity won’t come up,” Vidya stated.

Vidya also discussed how women like Shabana Azmi, Waheeda Rehman, and Rekha have had a big influence on Indian cinema and their enduring popularity. “I would have loved to watch her [Sridevi], Shabana Azmi, Waheeda ji, Rekha ji,” she said, recognizing the remarkable depth and range these actors gave to their parts.

In an independent interview with Filmfare, Janhvi Kapoor talked candidly about the strong relationship that existed between Rekha and Sridevi when the latter first started working in the business. Rekha provided Sridevi with encouragement and direction when she was having trouble establishing herself in the cutthroat film industry, Janhvi recounted.

She related a sweet story of how she met Rishi Kapoor at a public gathering. “As a little child, I ran into Rishi Kapoor. I ran into him when I was rushing somewhere. “His cheeks were pink when I looked up,” Vidya remembered with fondness. “I just saw Rishi Kapoor,” exclaimed the young Vidya, who was so shocked by the encounter that she fled in amazement. She was deeply impacted by this memory, which was her first encounter with a Bollywood star.
