Shah Rukh Khan Death Threat Case: Police Arrest Accused Who Claims His Phone Was Stolen
A man in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was recently taken into custody by the Mumbai Police for threatening to kill Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. Meanwhile, investigators are questioning the suspect, named as attorney Faizan Khan. Last week, Bandra police received a call from Khan threatening to kill them and demanding ₹50 lakh. Investigators were able to link the threatening call to a phone associated with Raipur lawyer Faizan Khan. Khan, who lives in the jurisdiction of the Pandri police station, was summoned by Mumbai Police when they traveled to Raipur in response.
Khan admitted under interrogation that he had reported his phone stolen to the Khamardih police station on November 2. He claimed it was a conspiracy against him and that the threat call was probably made using his phone. “After I reported that my phone had been taken, Shah Rukh Khan was threatened using it. Khan told the journalists, “I think there’s a conspiracy involved, and whoever used my phone did it maliciously.”

Furthermore, Faizan Khan disclosed that he had earlier filed a case against Shah Rukh Khan due to a line from the 1994 movie Anjaam that Khan’s character used to allude to deer shooting. Khan, a native of Rajasthan with roots to the Bishnoi group, justified his opposition to the dialogue by pointing to his cultural ties and fervent convictions about protecting wildlife. Police have filed a complaint under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita’s (BNS) sections 308(4) (extortion with threats of death or serious damage) and 351(3)(4) (criminal intimidation). Police are still looking into the alleged conspiracy, and Khan is still cooperating.
