Allegations of Conspiracy Against Arvind Kejriwal: AAP Claims Plot to ‘Eliminate’ Leader as BJP Responds

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has expressed grave worries over a purported scheme aimed at its convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, calling it a “deep conspiracy to eliminate.” AAP leaders believe that Kejriwal was attacked during his “padayatra” in Vikaspuri, West Delhi, which sparked the claims. They have warned that if Kejriwal suffers any harm, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be held severely accountable for orchestrating the incident.

Sanjay Singh, an AAP Rajya Sabha MP, told reporters on Saturday that “BJP goons” had attacked Kejriwal during his campaign. Inaction on the part of the police, he added, suggested a conscious plot. Singh claimed that unbiased police would have avoided the incident and remarked, “The BJP has become a threat to his life.” In keeping with the party’s hostility against Kejriwal, he blamed the claimed attack on members of the BJP’s youth section.

Singh affirmed that Kejriwal would continue his campaign unfazed by the incident. Singh responded that it was the police’s responsibility to take independent action when questioned why the AAP had not lodged a police report. He also mentioned that the AAP is currently seeking legal advice.

BJP’s Rebuttal: BJP leaders refuted the AAP’s allegations, asserting that local demonstrations over issues with the water supply caused the tragedy. But Singh reiterated his assertions, stating, “The BJP will be fully responsible if anything happens to Kejriwal.” Even the smallest scratch will lead Delhi’s residents to seek retribution.
