Atul Parchure, a well-known Marathi actor, died at the age of 57. According to several Marathi news sources, including Lokmat and Esakal, the cause of his death has not yet been made public. Atul’s family has yet to issue a comment about his passing.
Only a year has passed since Atul disclosed that he had been fighting cancer. He said in a prior interview that medical professionals had found a 5 cm tumor in his liver. “I had been married for twenty-five years. When we traveled to Australia and New Zealand, I was alright. However, I was unable to eat anything for a few days. I knew something wasn’t right because I felt queasy,” he recalled. He was informed of the tumor’s existence and its malignant nature during multiple visits, but his physician gave him hope that he would recover.
Atul also discussed his experience with a misdiagnosis and the consequences that followed. “After receiving a diagnosis, my initial operation went awry. I began to experience problems once my pancreas was impacted. My condition deteriorated due to improper care,” he clarified. He was able to get the right medication and treatment after a change of doctors.
Jaywant Wadkar, a fellow Marathi actor, shared his recollections of Atul and offered his condolences on the evening of October 14. He disclosed that prior to Atul’s hospitalization five days earlier, they were practicing together for the Marathi drama Suryachi Pillay.

Atul was well-known in the Marathi film and theater industry, yet he likewise made a name for himself in Bollywood by starring in movies like Ajay Devgn’s The very Best, Salman Khan’s Partner, and Shah Rukh Khan’s Billu.
