The prime minister, Narendra Modi, is getting ready for his much-awaited meeting with the Indian diaspora in New York on September 22. In Uniondale, New York, the Nassau Veterans Coliseum will host the “Modi&US” event.

There is definitely a buzz about this event—over 25,000 people registered for the 13,000 available seats, and tickets sold out in no time. Within 48 hours after registration opened, almost 500 community organizations from more than 40 states joined up as “Welcome Partners.

“Ganesh Ramakrishnan, one of the primary organizers, told ANI he was thrilled with the event and said, “The level of coordination is beyond impressive, and the energy is amazing.”

On Saturday, Modi departed on a three-day trip to the United States, during which he will participate in U.N. debates, attend the Quad Leaders’ Summit, and attend a number of high-profile engagements.

Regarding the Modi&US event, be prepared for a spectacular display. STAR Voice of India champion Aishwarya Majumdar, Grammy candidate Chandrika Tandon, and Instagram star Ricky Pond (also known as the Dancing Dad) are just a few of the well-known figures that will perform 400 artists over two stages. Additionally, an astounding range of cultural performances demonstrating the richness of Indian art and culture will be on display.

According to cultural director Sai Sagar Patnaik, the event would highlight India’s amazing diversity with performances ranging from folk to classical to fusion. Over 350 volunteers from 14 states work very hard behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly.
