In a recent interview, it was revealed by talented actor Sharad Kelkar that he charged only ₹ 101 for the biopic Srikanth. The 47-year-old actor, who starrece alongside Rajkummar Rao in the Tushar Hiranandani directorial, shared his story during the Diamond States Summit – Maharashtra hosted by News 18 India.

Sharad shared on SET India that his decision to charge a symbolic fee was from his friendship with the film’s director, Tushar Hiranandani. The actor said that Tushar was very forthright when he told him that he could not afford the usual fee. Sharad, all understanding, decided to support his friend in his venture and said, “The story of this film, along with such an old friendship, is bigger than any money.” Ravi Dubey Further Expressed.

He added that a writer is almost a backbone in the cines and congratulated Tushar coming up with such a gripping story. Sharad completed that the character of Ravi Mantha was exciting as well different from the stereotype roles he’s often offered, to make him Villains or Police officers due to his imposing height.

Sharing his journey, Sharad also spoke about how destiny played its game in his career. Having once stuttered, against the chances he catapulted himself to be one of the finest actors in the industry. He went on to say that since he was planning a Master’s in Business Administration with different areas in career options, he seems to have finally found his ‘calling’ through acting—a field that seemed to be out of reach in his childhood days.
