Bengal Bandh: BJP Leader Alleges TMC Workers Fired at His Car, Injuring Two
A BJP leader on Wednesday claimed that TMC workers attacked his car in Bhatpara area, which belongs to West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district.
The leader has claimed as many as seven bullets were fired in the car attack that was an attempt on his life.
The head of RBI, Priyangu Pandey, had also accused the ruling TMC of orchestrating the attack. Pictures of his car’s bullet-riddled windshield have gone viral since then, drawing much attention.
The incident occurred in the midst of BJP’s 12-hour Bengal Bandh-a statewide agitation called in response to police’s action during the party’s ‘Nabanna Abhijan’ rally in Kolkata on Tuesday.
The BJP leader Arjun Singh said in an interview, “Seven bullets were fired at Pandey’s car, and this incident happened in front of a senior police officer of Bengal.” Singh asserted that it was a deliberate attack on Pandey. “Priyangu Pandey is one of our party leaders.
Today, his car was attacked, and shots were fired. The driver was injured in the attack with seven rounds being fired. This happened in the presence of the ACP also.

It was clearly a planned attempt to kill Priyangu Pandey. The TMC is running out of issues, and they are resorting to such tactics. Two people were injured, one of them serious, said Singh.
