In a welcome development for fans of Disney’s unreal storytelling, it has just been announced that Mahesh Babu will be joining the team as the voice of Mufasa in its latest film, Mufasa: The Lion King, being helmed by acclaimed director Barry Jenkins.

Releasing in theatres this December 20 in India, this latest installment from the house of Disney will be made simultaneously in four languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, and finally, Telugu.

Other prominent voices in the Telugu version, besides Mahesh Babu, include those of Brahmanandam for Pumbaa and Ali for Timon. The trailer of the Telugu version is attached below to be launched on 26th August 11:07 AM. The film also marks the use of live action with photorealistic computer-generated animation as it joins new characters with classics.

SRK Role in Hindi Version

Shah Rukh Khan reprises the character of Mufasa with his voice for the Hindi rendition of the film. Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan have also lent their voices to the characters of Simba and young Mufasa. Respectively, for its swings, the sanvad of the king This shall also mark the first voice-over performance by AbRam, whereas Aryan had lent his voice for the character of Simba in the Hindi version of The Lion King (2019), which was voiced for Mufasa by Shahrukh Khan.
