Yuvraj Singh Biopic Announced: Everything We Know About the Film on Cricket Icon

At last, it has been officially announced that the T-Series Films will make a bipoic on the cricket legend Yuvraj Singh. Tentatively titled as Six Sixes, the film would narrate the amazing story of Yuvraj Singh from the World Cup hero till the cancer survivor, portraying both his triumphs on the cricket pitch and his inspiring battle off it.

The Popular T-Series Films has made it official across their official handles on Instagram and other social media platforms: “Relive the Legend’s journey from the Pitch to the Heart of Millions — Yuvraj Singh’s story of grit and glory comes alive on the big screen!”

The biographical film will attempt to portray most of the unforgettable glimpses of Yuvraj’s career, including his great performance in the 2007 T20 World Cup where he hit six sixes in an over off England’s Stuart Broad. His contribution to India’s victory in the 2011 World Cup will be shown too, wherein he was adjudged the Player of the Series.

The film will majorly dwell on the personal struggles of Yuvraj. In 2011, the cricketer was diagnosed with cancer just when his career was going full throttle. His brave fight against the disease and the glorious comeback into cricket in 2012, after which he retired from international cricket in 2019—these are going to be two mainstays of the biopic.

Through these ups and downs, I had undying passion toward this game. So, I hope this film shall inspire others to rise from their own challenges in life and follow relentlessly to fulfill those dreams.”

The film is being produced by T-Series head Bhushan Kumar, known for super hits such as Animal and Kabir Singh, together with producer Ravi Bhagchandka, who previously backed the acclaimed 2017 Sachin Tendulkar documentary Sachin: A Billion Dreams.

Bhushan Kumar had reportedly said, “Yuvraj Singh’s life is an extraordinary story of grit, victory, and passion. His journey from a promising cricketer to a cricketing hero and then to a hero in real life is truly motivating. I am excited to bring to screen a story that needs to be told and heard and celebrate his stupendous achievements.”.
