Delhi Govt to Regulate Coaching Centres’ Infrastructure and Fees: Atishi
On Wednesday, Delhi Minister Atishi declared that 200 additional establishments that were operating unlawfully as classrooms and libraries in their basements had received notices. As of now, the basements of thirty coaching centers had been sealed. A number of coaching institutes, including Drishti IAS, Vajiram, Sriram IAS, Sanskriti Academy, and IAS Gurukul, have had their basements shut.
A junior engineer in charge of making sure there was no illegal activity, no encroachment, and proper drain maintenance was fired from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, according to Atishi, who was giving an update on the government’s response to the three civil services aspirants who perished in the flooded basement of a coaching center. She said that an assistant engineer who was in charge of making sure the drain was operating properly and that everyone was following the guidelines in the building completion certificate had been suspended.
“These two policemen have been the target of action. We will take action against any official, whatever of position, found culpable in the inquiry, I want to reassure the people of our country and Delhi. The minister stated during a press conference that “there will be strict action” following the release of the magisterial inquiry findings in six days.

Atishi added that the government of Delhi would introduce legislation to control coaching facilities in the nation’s capital. The Delhi government will introduce legislation to regulate all coaching centers in the nation’s capital, she said, as a long-term solution. According to Atishi, the regulation will control the costs of coaching facilities in addition to defining the infrastructural requirements and teacher qualifications.
