Education Minister’s Dharmendra Pradhan First Reaction to Rau IAS Coaching Deaths: ‘Negligence
On Monday, Dharmendra Pradhan, the minister of education, laid the responsibility for the deaths of three civil services candidates at a top coaching center in the Old Rajinder Nagar neighborhood of New Delhi on negligence. There was carelessness. A solution won’t come about unless responsibility is established. The minister stated in the Rajya Sabha, according to report, “It is our responsibility to ensure that such an incident is not repeated.” The minister had previously stated in the Lok Sabha that the government released rules in January of this year about the regulation of coaching centers.
“Without an approved building, without any facility, some of the coaching centers become mafia… is the government going to take any action?” cited Pradhan’s words. The demise of Niwin Dalwin, Tanya Soni, and Shreya Yadav at the Rau IAS tutoring center has been attributed by the BJP to the Aam Aadmi Party. MP Sudhanshu Trivedi of the Bharatiya Janata Pary (BJP) claimed that the individuals who caused the deaths didn’t even display any signs of stress on their faces, much less tears.
“The government utterly failed to control coaching institutes, despite its obligation to do so. The incident that occurred is regrettable. In the Rajya Sabha, Trivedi was reported by ANI as saying, “It is regrettable that those who were accountable for them did not show any signs of sorrow or stress (Jinke aankhon main aasu rehne chahiye. unke chehre par shikan tak nahi ayi).”
