Justin Bieber Leaves India After Ambani Sangeet, Skips Posing for Paparazzi Unlike Rihanna

Shortly after performing at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet in Mumbai on Friday, Justin Bieber departed the country. The Canadian music sensation hurried to the airport, refusing to pose for pictures from the photographers persistently asking for close-up shots of him.

An Instagram video of Justin and his group, accompanied by security, pulling at Mumbai’s Kalina airport in SUVs was posted by a Paparazzo account. Swiftly getting out of the vehicle, Justin thanked the airport staff and made his way inside the structure. The photographers waiting outside the airport continued to yell, “Justin, we want a picture with you,” but they were not heard. As he departed India, Justin was spotted wearing a white vest.

In addition to performing on stage for Anant and Radhika’s pre-wedding party in Jamnagar, Gujarat, in March of this year, Rihanna stayed back to mingle with the guests. At the afterparty, she even gave Janhvi Kapoor a leg shake on the latter’s hit song, Zingaat. Soon after, she departed India, gave a hug and a thank you to the airport security, and also posed for pictures with the media before saying goodbye.

Bieber’s performance at Sangeet

From the sangeet footage, it appears that Justin wore his trademark style of headgear for the event, along with loose slacks and a jacket with a white vest. While playing on stage, he engaged with the attendees of the gathering. Hits including Baby, Never Let You Go, Love Yourself, Peaches, Boyfriend, Sorry, and Where Are You Now were played, getting the guests in the flow. In 2017, Justin had his debut performance in India. In 2022, he was scheduled to make a return trip, but the singer’s poor health forced the cancellation of the tour.

Traditionally, visitors are urged to wear traditional Indian garb in honour of the occasion. The primary rites of Anant and Radhika’s wedding will begin on Friday, July 12, with the auspicious Shubh Vivah, or wedding function. On Saturday, July 13, Shubh Aashirwad will take place, continuing the celebrations. On Sunday, July 14, there will be the last event, Mangal Utsav, also known as the wedding reception.
