NEET 2024 Retest Results Announced by NTA; Top Scorers Reduced to 61
The National Eligibility and Entrance Test (Undergraduate), or NEET, was retested, and the results were released late on Sunday night by the National Testing Agency (NTA). For 1,563 students who had previously received grace marks as payment for missing exam time on May 5, a reexamination was administered.
In the re-examination, 813 out of 1,563 candidates showed up at seven centres in Gujarat, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, and Haryana. The number of top scorers dropped from 67 to 61 when 813 applicants retook the exam on June 23; none of them received all possible points. The students who skipped the retest will now be awarded their original score without the grace marks. Among 813 candidates, six from Haryana earlier scored 720 out of 720 marks. In the re-examination, none of them got full marks, said a government official.
