Sonia Gandhi’s Video Message: Accusing Modi, BJP of Promoting Hatred for Political Gain

Ex-president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi, called on people to support the party to create a better future, criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for supposedly fostering a troubling environment in the nation. Sonia Gandhi emphasized the pervasive issues facing the country in a rare video message that Congress posted on social media. She said, “Today in every corner of the country, youth are facing unemployment, women are facing atrocities, Dalits, tribals, backward classes, and minorities are facing terrible discrimination.”

She said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP were to blame for the climate, charging them with inciting hatred for political purposes. The Congress party, according to Gandhi, has “always fought for the progress of all, justice for the deprived, and to strengthen the nation.” She urged the people to vote again, stressing the party’s platform, ‘Nyay Patra,’ which promises to promote farmers and laborers, empower women and youth, raise the destitute, and strengthen marginalized groups. “I’m requesting your help once more today.” The partnership between the Congress and India is committed to defending democracy and the Constitution. Please support the Congress party if you want a good future for everyone and a unified, powerful India, she added.

Voting in 93 seats spread across 11 states and Utah for the third round of the Lok Sabha elections is now underway, as her video message was posted. According to the Congress party, the purpose of this Lok Sabha election is to preserve the Constitution and the rights of underprivileged, tribal, and backward people. Rahul Gandhi, a prominent member of the Congress, attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in the day, saying that he desired to give industrialists control over tribal lands known as “Jal, Jungle, Jameen.”

The former president of the Congress stated, “PM wants to hand over the ‘Jal, Jungle, Jameen’ of the tribals to 14–15 industrialists” during an electoral rally in Chaibasa, Jharkhand. Working for Adani and Ambani, Narendra Modi made 22 individuals millionaires during his ten-year term. Should he be elected to power, we will provide ₹1 lakh a year to underprivileged women. He stated that leaders of the India bloc were prepared to give their lives to save the Constitution.
