In a meeting of its core committee, the Janata Dal (Secular) resolved to suspend Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda. On April 28, Prajwal Revanna was placed under arrest in connection with a case of alleged sexual harassment brought by his former servant. The case has been filed under the IPC’s sections 354A, 354D, 506, and 509 on allegations of sexual harassment, intimidation, and dehumanizing a woman.
