PM Modi Slams Congress in Chhattisgarh: ‘Leaders Consider Themselves Above Lord Ram

On Tuesday, the Congress was criticized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their decision to skip this year’s “pran pratishtha” ritual at the Ayodhya Ram temple on January 22. The prime minister remarked at a rally in Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh, “Congress politicians think they are better than Lord Ram and refused to invite Pran Pratishtha to the Ram Temple. Not to mention disrespectful to Chhattisgarh? It is “Lord Ram’s Nanihal.” Does this not indicate disdain for Mata Shabri? Congressmen’s inclination toward appeasement politics runs in their family.”

“They won’t think twice about violating the rights of Adivasis, Dalits, and the impoverished in the name of political appeasement. Women, the youth, and the impoverished are our top priorities, stated Modi. PM Modi criticized the Congress once more during the rally for claiming that the BJP would alter the constitution. “The leaders of Congress recite the same old phrases whenever an election is about to happen. They claim that if the BJP wins power, it will renounce the constitution and do away with reservations. “For how long will you continue selling lies?” he asked.

The prime minister went on, “Nobody can change the Constitution; even if Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar were to come and insist on it, it wouldn’t happen.” “Those in Congress threaten to break Modi’s head. Nobody can harm Modi as long as the mothers and sisters of my nation stand by me. “Raksha Kavach, these mothers and sisters are,” Modi remarked. The prime minister further attacked the Congress after Viriato Fernandes, the party’s candidate for South Goa, asserted that Goa was “forced” to adopt the Indian Constitution.

“The Indian Constitution was forced upon us when Goa was liberated in the year 1961,” Fernandes remarked, referring to a conversation he had with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi prior to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The prime minister remarked, “Is this not an insult to Ambedkar and the Constitution? A Congress candidate from Goa claims that the Goans were forced to adopt the Constitution.”
