Chhota Rajan Alive? Underworld Don’s Photo Released After 9 Years

According to the report, the first image of underworld don Chhota Rajan since his nine-year imprisonment appeared on social media, dispelling rumors that he had passed away or was unwell while being held in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. After being detained at the Bali airport and extradited to India in 2015, Chhota Rajan is currently being held in a high-security cell at Tihar’s Jail No. 2. This current image of Chhota Rajan dispels rumors that he passed away in Tihar during the COVID epidemic or from a serious illness. According to the report, the aforementioned photo has also revived concerns about a possible attack on him while he is still inside.

After the 1993 bombings in Mumbai, Chhota Rajan, who was previously a prominent officer in D-Company, fell out with mastermind Dawood Ibrahim. Don Chhota Shakeel has also made numerous death threats against Rajan. Despite Rajan’s presence in Tihar since 2015, the jail authorities have not released an official statement or any information about the crime mastermind to date.

Rumours of Chhota Rajan’s death

Chhota Rajan was hospitalized at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi after testing positive for COVID-19 in April of 2021. There was much conjecture that Rajan had also died from COVID after it was reported that Bihar’s mafia don-turned-politician Shahabuddin had died from the virus. Rajan was attacked in Bangkok in 2000 by the gunmen of Don Chhota Shakeel. The criminal lord was shot several times, which sparked new rumors about his demise. Nevertheless, he managed to survive the assault. Disagreements inside Dawood regarding the carnage that ensued following the terror strikes in Mumbai in 1993 led to its breakup.

A 1994 red corner notice was issued against Rajan, but since his breakup with Dawood, there was conjecture that he was providing federal agents with insider knowledge of the D-Company’s operations. Chhota Rajan was apprehended in 2015 upon his arrival at the Bali airport from Sydney, having eluded capture for almost twenty years. He was allegedly in possession of a passport bearing the name Mohan Kumar, but he eventually revealed to the immigration officials his true name, Rajendra Sadashiv Nikhalke.
