The beat court had prior remained the tall court decision cancelling Rana’s caste certificate.

A division seat of the tall court had asked Rana to yield the certificate within six weeks and asked her to pay the punishment of Rs 2 lakh to the Maharashtra Lawful Administrations Authority. The tall court had held that Rana’s claim of having a place for the ‘Mochi’ caste for getting the Planned Caste certificate itself was false and made to get different benefits accessible to a candidate from such a category despite knowing she does not have a place for that caste.

“The application (for caste certificate) was made to make a false claim to empower respondent no. 3 (Rana) to challenge the decision for the post of Part of Parliament on a situate saved for a planned caste candidate,” the tall court said in its judgment. The tall court had passed the arrangement on a supplication looking for cancellation of the caste certificate dated Eminent 30, 2013 issued by the Mumbai delegate collector, recognizing Rana as a part of the ‘Mochi’ caste. Shiv Sena pioneer Anandrao Adsul had recorded a complaint with the Mumbai Area Caste Certificate Investigation Committee, which ruled in Rana’s support and approved the certificate.
