The biggest competition in the world is returning for a second season, and much like previous years, IPL 2024 will begin with an extravagant opening ceremony. The first IPL 2024 match between the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is scheduled on March 22 at the M A Chidambaram International Cricket Stadium in Chennai.

Who will perform?

Actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, as well as well-known playback singers AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam, are expected to appear at the IPL 2024 opening ceremony, however this has not been confirmed officially yet.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play their first IPL 2024 match on March 22 at MA Chidambaram International Cricket Stadium in Chennai. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. IST.
The 17th edition’s final league games are slated to begin at 3.30 and 7.30 p.m. IST.
