Manish Pandey is excited to play for KKR again in the IPL in 2024

Outstandingly, two of his most fruitful IPL seasons in terms of runs scored came in those KKR colours (2014 and 2017). Interestingly, the final time KKR clinched the IPL title (2014) coincided with Pandey’s productive run of over 400 runs that season.

He indeed played a match-winning thump of 94 runs in the last against Rulers XI Punjab (presently Punjab Rulers), helping KKR secure their moment IPL trophy. Recalling that memorable season, Manish Pandey highlighted the team’s unflinching state of mind that eventually drove them to victory.

“2014 was a year where KKR didn’t begin well, but we came back stronger,” Pandey said, as cited by Cricbuzz. “We won seven sequential recreations in a push and became champions. That kind of boldness on the field is what we require again.”

Manish Pandey is especially pleased that his return coincides with the return of Gautam Gambhir, who was KKR’s captain amid his fruitful spell. Gambhir will be joining the group as a coach this year. “Gauti Bhai has continuously been an incredible leader,” Pandey said. “Having him back, indeed in a distinctive way, is incredible. His nearness will be important for the team.”

While returning to a commonplace and fruitful establishment is energizing, Manish Pandey recognizes the competition for spots in the middle- class. With players like Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer, and Rinku Singh, Pandey knows he needs to inspire in the honed matches. “It’s a new beginning for me,” Pandey said. “I’ll be pointing to do well in the honed diversions and perform anything the group delegates me.
