Girls in All Sports Can Learn From The WPL, Not Just Cricket: Nita Ambani

In addition to supporting the team, Mumbai Indians owner Mrs Nita M. Ambani spoke about the significance of a platform like the Women’s Premier League for Indian sportswomen yesterday in Delhi as the team played its final league phase match before moving on to the knockout phase.

The WPL is a fantastic way for young girls to rub shoulders with the world’s best players, according to Mrs Ambani. “What a platform for our girls to perform,” the woman exclaimed. It is such a wonderful feeling for these girls to be able to play with the greatest players in the world.

Sajeevan Sajana, one of the team’s breakout performers this year, received special recognition from her: “I saw Sajana getting the award.” She is a political science graduate, her father drives an autorickshaw, and she decided to play cricket. I hope that parents will be inspired to encourage their daughters to pursue their career goals by seeing this. WPL serves as an inspiration for female athletes in a variety of sports, not just cricket.

The success of MI, according to Mrs Ambani, can be attributed to the #OneFamily philosophy and the welcoming environment. Having been a cricket fan since 2010, one of my favourite things to do is watch these girls play. I just advise MI, who are known to be a family, to go out, have fun, and try their hardest.

In MI’s game against Gujarat Giants, captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who has been the team’s top run-scorer this year, put on an energetic display that resulted in a score of 95*, the highest thus far in this edition. The team’s success was attributed by Mrs. Ambani to Harmanpreet, the support staff under the direction of Head Coach Charlotte Edwards, Mentor, and Bowling Coach Jhulan Goswami.
