Bengaluru Blast: Revealing Insights from CCTV Footage of Rameshwaram Cafe ‘Bomber
CCTV footage of a suspect has purportedly disclosed certain features of his identification, even though the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday announced a cash reward of ₹10 lakh for information about the suspected bomber in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case in Bengaluru on March 1. Earlier this week, the NIA was given control of the investigation into the explosion at the cafe. The explosion that occurred on March 1 at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookfield, East Bengaluru, injured at least ten people. It is believed that an improvised explosive device (IED) caused the explosion. The Explosives Substances Act and the strict Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act were the first laws the Karnataka Police used to file a case, shortly after the explosion.
The NIA released the suspect’s CCTV camera grab and the reward on Wednesday. According to the report, which used CCTV evidence, the suspect showed up at a bus stop approximately 100 meters from the cafe at 10.45 a.m. aboard a public bus. He went into the cafe at 11.34 a.m., left at 11.43 a.m., and then used public transportation to a bus stop more than a kilometer away to make his getaway. The newspaper was informed by anonymous sources that the suspect’s CCTV camera trail had yielded some important leads, including his facial features.

- To conceal the explosive device and make his getaway from the scene, the suspect took several public buses. He stopped multiple times on the way, including at a Muslim religious center a few kilometers from the scene of the event, according to reports.
- One of the stops during the escape yielded a baseball cap that the suspect wore at the café. It is believed that the suspect changed into a different outfit at the location where the cap was thrown away.
- The explosion-causing improvised explosive device (IED) was placed near a handwashing station in a café corner. The publication also stated that police sources claimed that the proximity of a wall and tree lessened the impact of the device, which was made of nuts and bolts instead of shrapnel.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated on Sunday that some of the aspects the police were attempting to investigate about the blast at a downtown diner included commercial competition, upcoming elections, and scaring away investors coming to Bengaluru in anticipation of a stable government in the state.

According to him, authorities have obtained between forty and fifty CCTV clips.
Speculations are circulating that he took one of the 26 buses that passed by that spot at that same moment. We passed past twenty-six buses. There is a trace of the bus he took. He was wearing a cap, glasses, and a mask. There, too, we are not receiving clarity,” G. Parameshwara stated.
