Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Trailer: Randeep Hooda Explores Clash of Non-Violent and Violent Ideas in Film on Controversial Leader
The next Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, starring Randeep Hooda, has a trailer available. In the biographical drama, he plays the role of the liberation warrior Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and makes his directorial debut. The narration in the trailer opens by informing viewers that this is not a movie about India gaining independence from the British only by peaceful means.
About the trailer
A cop introduces Swatantrya Veer Savarkar in the trailer as one of the “most dangerous men” he has ever met. This is because, during one discussion, he managed to persuade the British commander that he was at fault. He is seen unionizing people and motivating them to join the struggle as an ardent voice for the homeland. Ankita Lokhande, who plays his spouse, appears briefly in the teaser and cautions Saavarkar that fording the river and going the opposite way could bring misfortune to them. After that, the teaser takes viewers to the period of his life during which he was imprisoned. A two-life sentence to jail has been handed down for the first time. He responds, “God gave me one life, but the judge gave me two.”
