Babita Phogat Pays Tribute to Late Dangal Actor Suhani Bhatnagar’s Parents at Their Home

Friday was the 19th birthday of Dangal star Suhani Bhatnagar. In the movie, she played a youthful Babita Phogat with Aamir Khan. Wrestler Babita Phogat recently visited the actor’s Faridabad home to offer her sympathies to the actor’s bereaved parents.

Who was Suhani?

Suhani and Zaira Wasim (the younger Phogat sisters) worked together on just one movie, Dangal. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, draws inspiration from the life stories of Mahavir Singh Phogat’s daughters. The adult roles played by Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh were Babita and Geeta Phogat. Suhani appeared in other commercials in addition to the film.

How did Suhani Bhatnagar die?

The 19-year-old died on Friday after being admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. Skin rashes and muscle weakness are the symptoms of a rare inflammatory disease called dermatomyositis. Her father acknowledged that this was the reason for her death. The left-hand edema was the first symptom to appear two months ago.

Her parents said, “We assumed it was just a skin condition as she began to develop swelling on her hand… Nothing worked despite our taking her to several dermatologists. Dermatomyositis was the diagnosis made when we brought her to AIIMS. Her body started to produce so much fluid when she contracted an infection during her therapy that her lungs collapsed and she died.
