WhatsApp Status Updates Tab May See Significant Design Change Soon

WhatsApp Status Updates Tab May See Significant Design Change Soon

In an effort to enhance the user experience, WhatsApp has been aggressively rolling out a number of new features, with a primary focus on growing its Channels capabilities. Recent changes, nevertheless, indicate that the chat app owned by Meta is also focusing on other areas.

The messaging app is reportedly working on updating the look and feel of the status updates tab’s user interface. This is evident in WhatsApp Beta version 2.24.4.23, which was discovered through the Google Play Beta program, according to WABetaInfo, a source for new features.

The goal of this impending update is to make status updates more easily accessible. The status updates, which are currently at the top of the updates page, will change so that users can preview shared updates as thumbnails and access them without having to see what’s within.

The user interface of the new design is card-like, evoking memories of the Facebook mobile app. These revised status displays will take the place of the circular style updates once they are fully completed. Additionally, this upgrade harmonizes the design language of WhatsApp with that of Meta’s other products, including Facebook.

WhatsApp Beta Testing Redesigned Status Tab

It’s crucial to remember that this modification is still in the testing phase and will likely be added to a later app release. Users won’t see these changes even if they install the most recent beta version.

In related news, WhatsApp has made a greater effort to prevent spam by enabling users to blacklist individuals straight from the lock screen. By assisting you in avoiding several submenus and the needless trouble of locating and starting a chat, this reduces the amount of time needed to block someone.

It’s too early to tell if the Status tab change will ever make its way into the stable version of the program, as it has only been seen in the WhatsApp beta. However, we hope this makeover makes the cut because it’s a big improvement over the current status previews.
