For the Sri Lanka T20Is, Mahmudullah is back; uncapped Aliss Islam is called up
In expectation of the imminent two-sided arrangement against Sri Lanka, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has uncovered the limited-over squads for the arrangement. This marks the primary time that ingenious all-rounder Mahmudullah has played for his nation in Twenty Twenty-Twenty since 2022.
After being cleared out of the group for the past year and a half due to his brilliant execution in both the Bangladesh Chief Association and the ICC World Container in India, the 38-year-old, who played his last Twenty20 universal coordinate against Sri Lanka amid the Asia Container in Dubai, was called up by the selectors. The three-match series to begin with two ODIs and T20Is did not include experienced and previous captain Shakib Al Hasan, even though, since of an eye issue.
Meanwhile, left-arm spinner Taijul Islam, pacer Taskin Ahmed, and openers Mohammad Naim and Anamul Haque have all returned to the 15-man T20I squad, which too incorporates uncapped puzzle off-spinner Aliss Al Islam. The players who were a portion of the final T20I squad against Modern Zealand, Rony Talukdar, Hasan Mahmud, Afif Hossain, Shamim Hossain, Tanvir Islam, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, did not oversee to hold their positions within the shorter format.
In the meantime, the BCB declared a 15-man program for the primary two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Sri Lanka. Mahmudullah, Taskin, and Taijul were named in lieu of Afif, Mahmud, and Rakibul Hasan.

Taking after the three T20I matches, which are slated for Sylhet on Walk 4, 6, and 9, there will be an ODI arrangement on Walk 13, 15, and 18 in that order. As portion of the 2023–25 ICC World Test Championship cycle, a two-match Test arrangement will take put after the limited-over series. The primary coordinate of the arrangement is planned for Walk 22–26 in Sylhet, whereas the moment Test is planned for Walk 30–3 in Chattogram.
The following players are included in the ODI squad (for the first two ODIs): Taijul Islam, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Litton Das, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, and Mahmudullah.
