Guntur Kaaram to Captain Miller: Must-Watch OTT Releases This Week Starring Mahesh Babu and Dhanush

This week’s OTT releases: Many films are making their streaming debuts this week, including Guntur Kaaram by Mahesh Babu and Captain Miller by Dhanush.

Captain Miller

This week, Arun Matheswaran, the director, debuts Captain Miller, the first installment of a trilogy, on Amazon Prime Video. Captain Miller is a pre-independence drama that centers on the life of Analeesan (Dhanush), also known as Eesa. While Eesa is an idler, his older brother Sengola (Shiva) actively participates in the Independence Movement. To gain some respect, he enlists in the British Indian Army, however, following a dispute in the hamlet. There, he gains the nickname Captain Miller, but a tragic event wakes him up and makes him a revolutionary. In addition to Dhanush, important parts are played by Shiva Rajkumar, Nassar, Sundeep Kishan, and Nivedhithaa Sathish in the movie.

The Nun II

This week marks the official JioCinemas release of The Nun II, the eagerly awaited follow-up to the 2018 smash hit The Nun and the eighth chapter in The Conjuring universe. Five years after the events of the previous film, Michael Chaves’ The Nun II centers on Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) as she confronts Valak, the evil nun, once more.

Guntur Kaaram

This week marks the official release of Guntur Kaaram, the directorial debut of director Trivikram Srinivas, starring Mahesh Babu. Ramana, portrayed by Ramya Krishnan, is an action drama about a boisterous Guntur resident who lives apart from his estranged mother. He defies his politician grandfather’s (Prakash Raj) request that he cut off all communication with her in order to discover the real reason behind her two decades ago.

Upgraded

The most recent release from Prime Video, Upgraded, may be just what you’re looking for if you want something light and reassuring to watch. The film, starring Camilla Mendes, centers on Ana Santos, an intelligent and driven art aficionado. She meets the attractive and well-connected Will (Archie Renaux) on her first work trip, where she is suddenly upgraded to first class. Will takes Ana for her boss. This white lie starts a chain of circumstances that will determine Anna’s fate in the end.
